Noncanon Material
Please be sure to use the noncanon template, when creating pages about information that does not come directly from a source in/by Volition, and avoid mixing noncanon information into pages devoted exclusively to canon material. Reviewing the canon policy may prove helpful.

Reverting some changes
Some changes you've made to canon information pages such as the Freespace Universe portal and some planet pages are being or have been reverted. Note that this is not done to prevent you from editing the wiki, but simply to preserve those pages as reliable sources of canon information - Which comes only from the original retail games themselves and any further information released by Volition, the creators of Freespace.
You are more than welcome to add information on how those systems figure into your own campaign or mod, but instead of modifying canon pages, please make a seperate section with new pages for it, and then link to your campaign on the User-made Campaigns page. That way, you will have complete freedom to flesh out your version of the game universe without any of us grumpy bastards going around and saying "Hey! Don't touch that!" ;) -- Shade 13:20, 19 May 2008 (CDT)
- Forgot to mention this: If you need the information from the pages that have been reverted, it is still available through the 'history' button at the top of each page. Using that, you will be able to copy your version of the pages into new pages specific to your campaign without redoing the work. -- Shade 13:28, 19 May 2008 (CDT)
