The '''Aeshderians''' are non-canon a race featured in [[Ancient-Shivan War (campaign)|Ancient-Shivan War]] Act I that was exterminated by the [[Ancients|Ancient Empire]] prior to the arrival of the [[Shivans]] into Ancient space. The Ancients viewed the Aeshderians as an inferior race.

The Aeshderians were said to have developed rapidly from a primitive culture to a spacefaring race. Little information is revealed about this race, but it's known that they possessed beam cannon technology and fighter shielding, unlike the Ancients. However, these technologies were underdeveloped and could be countered effectively by the technologically superior Ancients.

The Aeshderian navy was crushed in the [[Battle of Aeshder]] and the race was subsequently exterminated by the Ancient Empire.
