===Tech Room Description===
The GTCr Trifid was designed within the Centaur Project, and it was ready for mass production by 2377. The main purpose was to introduce a powerful supercarrier which balances the superiority of the Shivan fleet encountered during the Capella incident. The Trifid features sophisticated new technology, mainly developed after 2370. Its Field Drive enables intersystem space jumps without the need for stable subspace channels. Its hull strength, shielding and unprecedented firepower make the ship a deadly opponent for any threat known to date.
