Built to replace the aging Orion class of destroyer, the Alexander class is the largest, strongest, and best outfitted warship currently in the service of the GTVA. Armed with an experimental long-range beam cannon, four forward beams, and six flank-mounted anti-ship beams, as well as numerous AAA, flak and missile turrets, the Alexander class destroyers are a fearsome sight on the field of engagement. At 12,000 men and women, the Alexander class has the largest crew compliment of any standard production warship, and easily packs the punch of two Orion class vessels.
