Our treasured Attis bomber is the Empire's dedicated anti-cruiser and anti-corvette killer. In several campaigns, it has been instrumental to the extermination of inferior races. The Attis' tremendous offensive firepower of 8 primary cannons allows it to quickly devastate light targets. When the Quasar anti-material cannon and Damnation are equipped, Attis formations become a truly deadly strike force, capable of inflicting catastrophic damage. The Attis' thick armor plating allows it to brave the defenses of enemy capital ships and escorting interceptors. However, against larger targets such as destroyers or super-carriers, the Attis does not possess the payload capacity necessary to annihalate them. Despite this drawback, it is the most favoured bomber in our arsenal.

Not only does it let your bombs connect better, you won't be taking as much damage from stray blobs, and the risk of being vaporized by your own bomb being intercepted while right under you is greatly reduced.''}}

All information related to the AB Attis is non-canon.
Back to User-made Ships

The AB Attis is a user-made Ancient bomber. Originally created by Bobboau for his failed campaign Dark Breed it was latter picked up by the Inferno Release 1 mod, it has since been used in several other unrelated mods to represent a bomber of Ancient origin, or of another non-GTVA faction. In Blue Planet, it served as a Vishnan bomber.

The original Attis, as seen in INFR1.
The retextured Attis, as seen in the Ancient-Shivan War.

Description:

Inferno R1 Tech Room Description

The Attis appears to be an older design, perhaps in use when the Shivans slaughtered the Ancients eight thousand years ago. For a medium bomber, it is very heavily armored, but like all this species' ships, is totally unshielded.

Ancient-Shivan War Tech Room Description

Annoying because of its high speed and strong armor (as with all Ancient ships) but not too dangerous as a bomber. Use of anti-hull weaponry is essential.

Not really that well armored in ASW, given the fact that any damage you take accumulates due to not having shields. Luckily, the Damnation's shockwave is miniscule so being vaporized by your own bomb's shockwave isn't likely unless it gets intercepted. Even so, it's a good choice to bomb out the weapon subsystems of Shivan warships first, especially those with good anti-fighter defenses and can take a beating, like the Moloch or Lilith. Not only does it let your bombs connect better, you won't be taking as much damage from stray blobs, and the risk of being vaporized by your own bomb being intercepted while right under you is greatly reduced.
