The time I played it, the only weapons available to load out with were the Disruptor, ML-16 and MX-50. ML-16s and MX-50s versus Dragons and Nephilims! I could've gone into FRED and fixed the campaign, but I didn't bother. It was possible to finish the campaign on Very Easy, though, even if each mission took over 30 minutes. The missions are well-balanced and well-designed otherwise, including a few decent [[Battle of Endor-scheme|Battle of Endor]] type battles. One of the better FS1 campaigns.

Description

With the destruction of the first Lucifer the Terran-Vasudan Alliance manages to push the Shivans back to Vasuda Prime and take it after a major military engagement take it. But the Alliance runs into a immoveable wall of Shivan resistance, and it's advance is stopped short. With neither side willing to give ground, the two fleets are gridlocked, but the Alliance losses are tremendous and it is only a matter of time before atrition loses the war for them. This is the story of General Albert Ulysses and his bold but risky plan to fight back and take the war into -- and behind -- Shivan held territory, to gain back what was once their's; their planets and their homes. Ulysses' plan carries with it not only great opportunity, but great risk as well. There is more at risk than just billions of lives but the fate of three races and with it the fate of the galaxy.

Comments

The campaign consists of mostly standard type missions. Not bad, but not really good either. At times the abundant typos and ambiguous wordings make the de/briefings and messages simply impossible to understand. The missions are fairly well balanced all around, though.
The download is not VP packed, only zipped, which means you will have to copy the contents to the appropriate folder.

I could've gone into FRED and fixed the campaign, but I didn't bother. It was possible to finish the campaign on Very Easy, though, even if each mission took over 30 minutes. Your wingmen are armed with the same weapons, also, although oddly your reinforcements have the default loadout of Avengers, etc. The missions are well-balanced and well-designed otherwise if you carry "normal" weaponry like Prometheus or Avenger. The campaign is still available from the Volitionwatch Archives. However, the Volitionwatch Archives are not being maintained anymore, so it is just a matter of time before the below link stops functioning.
