The Battle of Gulnara was a major Vasudan defeat during the Terran-Vasudan War. Following the Terran victory, it was believed that the GTA would soon be able to win the war, and put the production of Leviathan cruisers on hold. However, this vision was short lived as a Vasudan counterattack crushed hopes of a Terran victory at the Battle of Talania.
Little is known of the Gulnara system, for only one small reference is made to it in the tech description of the Leviathan cruiser (in FreeSpace 1). It is theorized that it may have been a planetary system in Antares, but some think it may be the Vasudan name for a Terran system.
