Is Frontlines associated with the Terran-Vasudan War Project? No. While there may be some overlap, in both storyline and shipset, Frontlines is not associated with the TVWP. The aims of the two projects are similar, but distinct, and the gameplay mechanics, shipsets, storylines etc. are all entirely separate and unique. Is Frontlines associated with the Freespace Port? Not directly. Frontlines is built as a mod for the Freespace port, but is not officially part of the Port. Does Frontlines follow any existing continuity? At this point, there are no plans to associate the Fronlines project with any other Freespace campaigns, however the individual minicampaigns will be consistent with one another. Will Frontlines chronicle the start of the Terran-Vasudan war? No. Frontlines is about stories of war, and while the start of a war is a great story, it's not one that falls within the scope of this project. That's one for the TVWP guys to tackle. Will Frontlines feature characters from the Freespace games? Perhaps. Keep an eye out in the later campaigns. Also, pay attention to the names of ships - some will be known to the well read Freespace player. |
