Description

A young pilot, fighting against the Cylons, attempts to become something of an intermediary between the GTVA and the CDF (Colonial Defence Fleet, apparently splintered from the Twelve Colonies of Kobol some 150,000 years ago), which are destined to become allies and, in the process, form the new faction currently named the "Coalition". However, an old enemy is stirring and is itching for revenge. Also, in addition to the alliance between the GTVA and CDF, they develop plans for an even more ambitious idea than the GTVA Colossus. A plan to develop the first SUPER-juggernaut (currently classed as "Goliath") that combines the GTVA's Colossus-Class Juggernaut design with that of the CDF's Prometheus-Class Battlestar!

The idea behind this mod is that it merges the FreeSpace Universe with the Battlestar Galactica Universe since both series have semi-identical histories and plots. With this being said, the GTVA and the CDF (Colonial Defence Fleet, apparently splintered from the Twelve Colonies of Kobol some 150,000 years ago) are destined to become allies and, in the process, form the new faction currently named the "Coalition". Also, as a lot of modders do, this mod will incorporate models from other mods (all of which WILL be name in the credits). There are even plans to add one ship FreeSpace players might recognize.

The campaign takes place 18 years after the events of Capella (the same continuity as Blue Planet).

Project "Goliath" Background

The CSJ Goliath project (or so the modders think) is going to be the ultimate symbol of the alliance between Colonial Defence Fleet and Galactic Terran-Vasudan Alliance. The current idea behind it is that it combines the CDF's Prometheus-Class Battlestar's design with the GTVA's Colossus-Class Juggernaut design (as stated above) in a massive super-juggernaut that is capable of challenging a SJ Sathanas without the need bomber support like what was needed with the first Colossus. Assisting the Goliath in this is a new anti-super cap beam weapon. This beam weapon is currently name the "CSB". Other information on the project will be confidential until sometime after the mod's release.

SF Harpy		The SF Harpy class of Shivan fighters was first encountered while on the way to the original homeworld of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol. All other information concerning the Harpy is classified level Psi.
SDr Imp		First encountered on the way to the original homeworld of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol, the Imp is a small, fast and maneuverable unmanned Shivan drone that is too difficult to hit. However, a single fighter should take down the Imp easily, unfortunately though, these drones are being deployed in exceptionally large numbers, often outnumbering their enemies 6 to 1, much like the Cylon raiders did some 150,000 years ago.
SFg Beelzeboul		Being a Shivan design encountered on the way to the original homeworld of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol, we do not have much data on this frigate yet. However, it would appear the Beelzeboul's main purpose is fighter suppression, mostly through the many wings of Imp drones it launches, and has thus been classified a drone frigate. The craft has extensive armour plating, and an area of the ship that we believe to be it's main reactor core is guarded by a local shield. For a frigate sized ship, the vessel itself seems to boost limited, yet not negligible, figherpower against capital ships and fightercraft. Despite this, pilots are advised to avoid the area below the vessel's 4 arms and attack topside.
SB Yali		The SB Yali class of Shivan bombers were first encountered while on the way to the original homeworld of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol. All other information concerning the Yali is classified level Psi.
