This mod is currently under development and may not release until some time in 2009.

Basic Idea

The idea behind this mod is that it merges the FreeSpace Universe with the Battlestar Galactica Universe since (if you think about it) both series have semi-identical histories and plots. With this being said, the GTVA and the CDF (Colonial Defence Fleet) are destined to become allies and, in the process, form the new faction currently named the "Coalition". Also, as a lot of moders do, this mod will incorporate models from other mods, one of which FreeSpace players might recognize.

Current Plot Idea

The campaign takes place shortly after the events of Capella with the player as FreeSpace 2's Alpha 1, fighting for the Coalition against the Cylons, but, unknown to the Coalition, an old enemy is stirring and is itching for revenge. Also, in addition to the alliance between the GTVA and CDF, they develop plans for an even more ambitious idea than the GTVA Colossus. A plan to develop the first SUPER-juggernaut (currently classed as "Goliath") that combines the Colossus's design with that of the CDF's Prometheus-Class Battlestar!

Project "Goliath" Background

The CSJ Goliath project (I think) is going to be the ultimate symbol of the alliance between Battlestar Galactica's Colonial Defence Fleet and FreeSpace's Galactic Terran-Vasudan Alliance. The current idea behind it is that it combines the CDF's Prometheus-Class Battlestar's design with the GTVA's Colossus-Class Juggernaut design (as stated above) in a massive super-juggernaut that is capable of challenging the Inferno Mod's SSJ Giggas. In addition to the Goliath, a new beam weapon will be created that can easily challenge a Sathanas-Class Juggernaut (I'm not sure I spelled "Sathanas" right). This beam weapon is currently name the "Coalition Super-Beam Weapon". (Yes, I realize it's a little lengthy--and, at the same time, kind of lame--but rest assured, a different name will be given upon the mod's release.) Other information on the project will be confidential until sometime after the mod's release.

Current Status (As of January 23, 2009)

Right now, we're still working on the story line. We are planning on at least 20+ missions. Also, our FREDer is still getting used to the interface and how to use FRED 2. Nevertheless, we're confident we can get the mod released in due time.

More information will be added as it becomes confirmed.
