After the Second Shivan Incursion, the GTC Marauder was design to replace the aging Fenris and Leviathan crusiers. Thanks to new beam technology and reactor design, the Marauder boasts a higher top speed, and far more firepower than either the Fenris or the Leviathan. Marauders are used in a wide variety of roles, from assualt to convoy escort and garrison duty. Currently, five Marauders are in active service, with ten more under construction.
