The GVB Amun Mark II

Description:

The Procyon Insurgency Tech Room Description

The Amun Mark II is a complete redesign of the old Amun bomber that was used by PVN forces during the Terran-Vasudan war. The Mark II has abysmal maneuverability and a cruising speed of 30 meters per second, making it the most sluggish bomber in the GTVA arsenal. However, it makes up for these shortcomings with its nine primary weapon mounts, an enormous secondary missile/bomb capacity, twin automatic defense turrets and far more armor and shielding than any other GTVA fighter or bomber in service. During its operational evaluation (OpEval) period, only select elite and CEU squadrons in the Vasudan navy have been given access to this ship.

Extremely slow and sluggish, but can actually defend itself rather well. One of the biggest reasons for this is that unlike most bomber turrets, the Amun II's are actually useful, and five Phalanx in one bank will take down almost any fighter in one hit, but drains alot of energy. It's kinda like the Trebuchet of lasers. Also note that due to the Amun's massive hitpoints and shielding, an slow speed, the best strategy when attacked is to face your enemy, keep maximizing your forward shields, and fire your Phalanx at your attacker until it blows up. I really like this ship, and i wish the CP5670 would release it for download.
