INFR1 Tech Room Description
The Imset is the standard bomber of the Vasudan Empire. It handles better than the Sabus, its Terran counterpart, although its primary armament isn't as good. Capable of carrying all torpedoes up to the standard Helios in strength, this bomber has served on multiple fronts and has a very respectable number of warship kills to its name.
Railgun Bombers Tech Room Description - GVB Imset
Like the Terran GTB Surt, the GVB Imset differs from conventional bombers by being designed to fire custom uranium-tipped or explosive shells at incredible speed, bypassing anti-targeting countermeasures or interception. The Imset has improved upon the Surt by mounting two railguns, as well as a standard missile bank, but it remains incapable of carrying traditional aspect-seeking torpedoes. Initial deployments of the Imset suggest it is most effective in a heavy assault role, engaging targets of opportunity rather than attempting outright destruction of capital ships.
Railgun Bombers Tech Room Description - GVB Menhit
Promising results from the OpEval period of the GVB Imset deployment have led Imperial Special Forces to order a limited number of customized bombers, designated Menhit. The ISF variant fire-links the two railguns, effectively doubling the damage-per-second output of the bomber. The standard missile bank has also been divided into two smaller banks, allowing the Menhit to fulfil a wider variety of roles. Terran R&D has noted the Menhit's advances and are working on a next-generation railgun bomber of their own to replace the Surt.
