Media Volition Package files are complements of the FreeSpace Upgrade Project which contain user-made enhanced graphical and sound data.
The following files are included with the MediaVPs:
- mv_core.vp - contains table files
- mv_effects.vp - contains effects
- mv_models.vp - contains high-poly versions of the retail models
- mv_music.vp - high-fidelity music; uncompressed versions of some of the retail tracks courtesy of the FSMRP
- mv_textures.vp - includes model textures
