Tech Room Description
The Shagrath Heavy Raider is one of the most common pirate fighters. It was designed around multiple gatling systems, the massive helvette cannon as well as a pair of thrasher or phalanx cannons. Excess power from the ship's oversized reactor, which would otherwise be used by energy weapons, is fed into an ion preburner that effectively doubles the ships thrust output. The Shagrath cannot effectively fight lengthy battles, it is most frequently used in hit and run attacks. "Its secondary weapons capacity is somewhat limited. it can carry a single light warhead strapped to the hull, and its internal bays, which amount to nothing more than hand loaded launch tubes, can only carry a few types of missiles.
