This craft, designated the Prometheus Frame by the LSF, but known to its creators as the Infinity Light Fighter, is an immensely powerful vessel, believed to have been created by an ancient race known as the Aleyurians. The Prometheus Frame could only be controlled by individuals who were able to synchronize with the vessel's systems. The only known living being capable of this was a genetically engineered human, Dawn Crossfire.

Description:

Wings of Dawn Tech Room Description

Archaeologists recent uncovered the 'Prometheus Frame' under the barren surface of Abyss Prime. Dating suggests that the vessel has been sealed in such a state for over ten thousand years. Evidence suggests that the craft was constructed by the Aluyerians, an alien race which seems to have mysteriously vanished around eight thousand years ago.

The craft's onboard A.I. has been found to be operational, and assists the pilot in controlling the vessel. According to on-board data banks, the craft is classified as a 'light fighter' despite being larger than even a Cordi Gunship, firmly placing it as a frigate under current designation schemes. The Prometheus brings four devastating beam cannons to the field and can fire these continuously as long as there is weapon power available. Along with four powerful beam turrets, eighteen pulse guns and two banks of highly advanced and effective missiles.

Missions in which you fly this thing are quite hard to lose.

This thing is insanely powerful, but it has the worst handling and maneuverability in all of the player flyable craft. It's primary weapon of firepower are it's four beam cannons, which are pretty close to an Sred with a faster refire rate. However, later on those beams are effectively destroyed, and without them, the Prometheus frame becomes vulnerable to point blank attacks, as its other primary weapon's hardpoints are spread too far out to be really effective at that range. At the same time, its missiles turn too slow to be effective against fighters. In short, it's any capships' worst nightmare, but as soon as the fighters start swarming on it, it's a goner. Maybe not right away, as it has a good deal of shields and hitpoints, but it will happen within a short amount of time.
