The SFr Dis is a Shivan-designed freighter. It is the largest Shivan freighter ever encountered by the Terrans and Vasudans and, along with the SFr Mephisto, the weakest in terms of hull integrity and anti-ship defences.

The SFr Dis class of freighters is smaller than the Asmodeus class and not as well armed. It is still much more dangerous to attack than the GTVA's Triton or Poseidon freighters, however.

Name origin

Dis is a fictional city in Dante Aligheri's The Divine Comedy. Dis contains the lower levels of hell.

Dis is also a Latin nickname of Hades, meaning "the rich one", as Hades was also the guardian of the treasures of the underworld.

A Mephisto could easily fit inside the huge SAC 3 cargo container this thing carries around. It's thinly armored and has bad turret placement, however, making it easier to destroy.

Yes, the HTL looks sexy, but it is a very weak freighter. Killing it shouldn't be hard at all, as it is only protected by a handful of extremely weak turrets.

Basically the Shivan version of the GTFr Triton. Big, weak, and carries a massive but poorly-armored cargo container. Its tech description is a lie, as noted. The single Standard Flak gun on the Triton has a better damage per second than six Shivan Light Lasers, and the Dis only has four. The Dis has not one hitpoint more of armor than the Triton, either.
