The lightest tactical beam in the Terran arsenal, the Subach-Innes Cruiser Engagement System was built small and accurate, but at the cost of rate of fire. Its capacitors' long rise time, coupled with plasma core flow issues, hobble it with a 45-second charge cycle. Its compact mountings allow multiple beams to be fitted even on cruisers.

The SGreen is a beam used by the Terrans in FreeSpace 2. A pair of this beam forms the main anti-warship beam capabilities of the GTC Aeolus. It is known for its extremely lethargic recharge time of 45 seconds, making it one of the weakest beam weapons in the game.

The SGreen is statistically one of the weakest beam cannons in the game, however, because of the unpredictable nature of "slash" type beams such as the TerSlash there are those who believe this is superior. The biggest fault of this beam is the 45 seconds between shots, so if one misses, then the ship that fired it just had a huge problem, as it can't defend itself for another three-quarters of a minute. The SVas and SRed are simply light years ahead of this weapon. This beam has the dubious distinction of having the lowest sustained damage of any anti-warship beam.

The relative inferiority of the smaller Terran beams to their Vasudan equivalents may be explained by them being physically smaller and easier to mount; Terran capital ships consistently mount more anti-warship beam weapons than their Vasudan (or indeed Shivan) equivalents.
