G-canon is a reference to George Lucas and his Star Wars films. The term is used to classify info related to the Star Wars universe that comes straight from George Lucas. Info that are not directly connected to George Lucas' plans belong to the expanded universe.

In the FreeSpace community, the terms has earned the meaning of "Goober/Galemp canon". G-canon is used to define the changes made by Goober5000 and Galemp to the Silent Threat campaign to have Silent Threat: Reborn as final result.

Notable differences

  • One of the most notable characteristics of G-canon is related the GTI's ideas and motives: in ST:R, in fact, the GTI has an evident anger towards the Vasudans as one of the main factors influencing the rogue faction's decisions and moves, similar to that noticed in the Neo-Terran Front. This did not happen in the original Silent Threat.
