Unless you're asking for help, in which case I can offer none, since I'm far too "new" to the FreeSpace community. I don't think that this warrants an entire new page unless you have a lot of information to share. If you disagree, though, and want to make it a major project, say something in the [http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/board,122.0.html Wiki forum]. Got the section started.  There's plenty more to be listed (the community shrank continuously for a significant period before the FS2 source was released), but I seem to be in the midst of a brain fart, so if another old veteran wants to pop in and expand the section, that'd be mighty helpful.

I also tried to dig up archive.org links to each site's last update, though it's apparent that's going to be easier for some sites, with little dynamic content, like Ross 128, than others with more dynamic content, like Planet FS.  [[User:BlueFlames|BlueFlames]] 12:58, 25 January 2008 (CST)

Defunct Sites

I was curious if it would be appropriate to list (in a seperate section on the page, naturally) defunct FS2 community sites. It hit me earlier today that there is no mention of Ross 128 on the wiki, nor is it said anywhere that Volition Watch formed from what had previously been Planet FreeSpace. I'm sure there's others to be listed as well, but I'm conflicted on whether or not the historical perspective necessarily has a place on this specific page. BlueFlames 13:36, 24 January 2008 (CST)

Hey, that's a great idea BlueFlames. The Wiki is for anything related to FreeSpace, including its history (eg the FreeSpace Alpha page). Rather than make requests, it's better to just start work until someone starts yelling at you. On Wikipedia, they call it "Be Bold". We can always delete unwanted content later.

Unless you're asking for help, in which case I can offer none, since I'm far too "new" to the FreeSpace community. I don't think that this warrants an entire new page unless you have a lot of information to share. If you disagree, though, and want to make it a major project, say something in the Wiki forum.
