"This is rarely much of a consolation to whoever it happens to be engaging, as the Raynor is essentially an Orion, or worse than an Orion(!) from any angle save aft." I think this needs clarification. Is it "OMFG it's a Raynor, RUN!"-worse or "Meh, just a Raynor"-worse? The E 07:47, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

The Raynor has a lot more firepower statistically, though it's limited fire arcs means that it can't really bring all of what is advertised to bear on well...anything. Droid803 20:35, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

I think it's more to be a Star Destroyer from Star Wars, with the daggerish shape and beam firing angles going forward meaning that it tries to inflict most pain apon the victim in front of it. But like you said, if engaged from the sides, then its just a big WTF. If this is..."corrected", then it could bring more firepower apon other targets, otherwise, its just a "Meh, just a Raynor" to most Capital ships. Context, The E. Context. The opening of the sentence makes it clear we're talking scarying. 3BGreens to any angle makes it worse than an Orion, and the Raynor can manage that with ease. Ngtm1r 04:30, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

Oh, now we're supposed to be context sensitive as well? :) The E 08:30, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

Since the Raynor has been featured in many mods, should this article list all the tech descriptions and statistics of each mod that used it? - TopAce 11:59, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

 • Maybe we should just make different pages of the different types of Raynors used. - grunt minion22 10:35am mideast, 10 August 2009.
 • If people have enough interest you're welcome to add the stats for various mods. If you'll notice the Inferno-specific ships have tech descriptions and weapon loadouts for up to three different eras (INFR1, SCP and Alliance). I would recommend keeping everything on one page and simply adding the information to that page. Akalabeth Very early in the morning (PST)
