Those notes are kind of annoying, and are just some random guy's personal opinion. Can we remove them? - Snail 04:30, 5 January 2008 (CST)

  • I agree, since they belong to something like player's opinion. Perhaps it could be posted in the discussion page but not on the main article.Nubbles 08:33, 5 January 2008 (CST)
    • Alrighty then. Just some points, though:
  1. Since the FreeSpace Wiki is not an encyclopedia (enkyklios paideia) about the real world as such (there are pages dealing with the imaginary universe as if it would be real), should we have a page reflecting the Real World™ issues of ST? All dealings with the FS universe will, for all intents and purposes, be about an imaginary realm, anyways. Kinda like a Tolkienesque sorta thingamabob.
  2. The FreeSpace Wiki already has a ton of personal opinions. Why is this page different? Is it only because of formatting? If that's the case, perhaps a new template would be in order?

(Please understand that I'm not against any of your edits. The nature of Wikis is that they are not owned by anyone. With hard core emphasis on "not".)

Your non-biased input is appreciated. Selectah 02:16, 7 January 2008 (CST)

      • Selectah: You are correct on both opinions. However, to my point of view, it's just the wrong place to put such comments. That page was a walkthrough. I remember somebody doing some in-depth research of missions of HLP forum one time? So my suggestion is that the notes should belong to a seperate page.

I am not like pissed off or anything because someone add those notes, or somebody has the same concept. What I am trying to say is that some information should be organized to a better place.

Thanks, Nubbles 02:37, 7 January 2008 (CST)

  • I quite agree with you. Although I think putting written comments under a new heading of "User Comments" section could've been a better option than to outright delete stuff. But then again, that's just me, I guess. Sometimes I think that I'm too friendly for my own good. Selectah 03:24, 7 January 2008 (CST)
