A satisfying, bug-free blast fest. The recent FSCRP upgrade has ensured everything works with modern SCP builds and added voice acting which, while not of the absolute higest calibre, is still pretty decent, and has the major advantage of existence, which put's it miles ahead of the majority of FS campaigns right there. Unfortunately, the campaign is let down a little by somewhat repetetive gameplay, and a lack of real engagement with the storyline. The campaign is also pretty easy - experienced players or those used to SCP-enhanced AI will most likely breeze through the nineteen missions in a single sitting. However, if you enjoy blasting Shivans, and in particular getting some nice "SD"s and "SCv"s on your kill sheet, you could certainly do worse. 6.5/10, 7/10 with FSCRP voice acting. Warzone is one of those mods that is worth playing as a festival of shoot-'em-ups, plus one aspect of it I liked was the fact that the crew wrote actually tolerable bombing missions that were not "fighters go all over the place and repeatedly jump Alpha 1 like a spider monkey." My favorite aspect was the use of the GVB Sekhmet, which you never get to fly in the retail FS2 campaign. However, the thing is, you only get to blow stuff up (as in just stand and cut through scores of Shivans like bread and butter), and even though it follows the fashion of "loose ends are never tied up" in Derelict, I honestly felt the story was "oh Shivans. Move in, move back, blow up all you see." If we had at least one character or some entertaining conversation, then I would be more considerate. So, Warzone is, in a nutshell, what you would imagine if the Demoman from Team Fortress 2 was in Alpha 1's chair. - Black Yoshi, 28 August 2012
