'''Fortuna''' is one of the two major satellites of the gas giant [[Morpheus (SR)|Morpheus]], with the other being [[Midas]], and ever since its discovery by [[GTA]] expeditions it was established as one of the best suitable places for colonization. The orbital period of Fortuna around Morpheus is more optimal than that of Midas, and the exposition to intense radiation coming from the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epsilon_Canis_Majoris Adhara A star] is in part contained, a characteristic that has allowed vast greenhouses optimized for agriculture to be built on the planet, and reach the pinnacle of such production. The efficient Fortuna greenhouses are responsible for a constant two-digit agricultural production surplus each year for the [[Adhara Coalition]].

As most planets and planetoids in the Serendipity campaign, Fortuna is named after a planet featured in the [https://colonywars.fandom.com/wiki/Morpheus Colony Wars] series, which in turn was named after the Roman goddess of luck and fortune. The term ''fortuna'' has been preserved in present day Italian with the same meaning, as seen in [[La Ruota della Fortuna]].
