Altair IV is one of an undisclosed number of sites which have harbored Ancient technology. Fleeing their homeworld as it was ravaged by the SD Lucifer, a group of Vasudan scientist/refugees had to make emergency landfall as their lifeboat lost power.
They found an Ancient data recorder which possessed key information relating to the Lucifer's Achilles heel and subsequent destruction.
