The Jovian Coalition was the first Terran faction to design a gas tank docking module for the Exos. The result, the Hephaestus, was a breakthrough in logistical space support. Previously, any fleet traveling through the solar system needed to bring along several gas miners for refueling. The slow speed and poor defensive capabilities of gas miners severely hampered their effectiveness in these situations.
