GTFr Chronos

Designed to carry TAC 1 cargo container the GTFr Chronos was commonly used by the Galactic Terran Alliance during both the Terran-Vasudan War and the Great War. A civilian design, it could not defend itself but its relatively high armor compensated for this weakness.

The Chronos is a freighter of civilian design. As the Terran Vasudan war dragged on, more and more of these vessels were commissioned by the GTA for use in military operations. These vessels are slow but strong.

I've always liked these freighters, far more so than the overblown, Nimitz-hauling Triton. They remind me of a semi-truck with armor and a turret. They don't do to well in actual combat, so watch'em. They are shown in some cutscenes with two turrets, but only have one in-game.

Much better than the Triton. Not only are they smaller, but they have TWICE the hitpoints!

While they are badly armed and incapable of taking care of themselves, because of their heavy armour, you do not need to worry about them that much.

The Chronos is the only freighter in FS1 that REQUIRES the use of bombs to eliminate in a single pass.
