Intended to be a sort of next-generation Scorpion or Dragon-esque fighter, as the Shivan equivalent to the Terran Achilles. Due to the ED weapons being somewhat overpowered, Ifrits were pretty easy to take down in testing. The best way to deal with them was with the Electryon (Harpoon equivalent) which basically skewered them like kebabs.
