The Lost Generation refers to the Terrans born during the post-Great War Reconstruction period, when the Terran species was fragmented, disorganized, in economic recession, and unable to contact Earth. The narrator of the FS2 introductory cutscene, a member of the Lost Generation himself, speaks poetically of the loneliness and nomadic search for "the salvation of our race" that his generation faces.
