The CR Sentri Fighter |
---|
Contents
Description
Tech Room Description
The Sentri is a fast and extremely manuverable fighter used by the Centauri Republic in nearly all of its operations. The Sentri combines a standard fusion thrust engine system with a gravimetric drive to afford its pilot protection from the enourmous gravity forces that the fighter can generate maneuvering at high velocities. The Sentri is designed with minimal armor protection but its slim profile and powerful weapons along with superior flying skills and tactics of Centauri pilots give the Sentri an advantage. Sentri's also mount two Particle Array cannons that produce devastating effects and fire rapidly. Sentri pilots have enjoyed a 6 to 1 kill ratio over Narn Frazi fighters during the Narn Centauri war.

Sentris are tough opponents for an Aurora, requiring skill and no small amount of luck to successfully combat...unless you have the classic Venom playing-field-leveller, which makes it a bit simpler but still tough. They will even roughly handle an unwary Thunderbolt pilot and are one of the few non-Minbari fighters that a Thunderbolt should treat with any kind of respect. Dogfighting a Sentri is not, however, as impossible as one might expect in a Frazi (though a Gorith is clearly the preferred tool for the task).
