Bite Me (or Just F'ing Bite Me) was an Easter egg music track created by Volition employees, using outtake samples from voice acting recordings overlaid on a stock music loop. On his upload of the song at Soundcloud, Dan Wentz, composer of a majority of the music for Descent: FreeSpace and FreeSpace 2, mentioned that the file he has is dated October 22, 1999, which meant that this audio track was probably first created very close to the end of FreeSpace 2's development.
