Would it be better if secondaries were listed as 'Damage per Size' instead of 'Damage per Second'. Or is this kind of table totally useless anyway? - Wanderer 14:34, 19 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Sustained beam damage per second appears to use an incorrect formula. If somebody could verify this then I could change it. Qent 21:31, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
What's the correct formula then? - Snail 21:55, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- Using the BFRed as an example, the current formula is
- Damage * 5.5 * Life / (FireWait + Life) = 2100 * 5.5 * 7 / (10 + 7) = 4756
- But you can see by setting the Fire Wait to 1 that the beam can fire before the previous shot is finished (the Life isn't added to the Fire Wait), so the sustained damage per second should be
- Damage * 5.5 * Life / FireWait = 2100 * 5.5 * 7 / 10 = 8085
