Name Description
In Egyptian mythology, Tawaret, or "the great one", was originally the wife of the first god of evil, Apep. Eventually, she was made a benevolent figure, the goddess of fertility and childbirth. Her name is spelled many ways; the Greeks' name for her was Thouéris (Θουέρις).
