The EA 109 Zephyr |

Contents
Description:
Tech Room Description
The Zephyr, originally used by the now defunct Belt Alliance has now become synonymous with the primary fighter for pirates and raiders. The small delta wing design gives the fighter a small profile and acceptable atmospheric capability that many other modern starfighters lack. This small, low mass design has its disadvantages. Armor plating is negligible and the crafts twin engines do not give it any agility or acceleration advantage over the Aurora and Thunderbolt Starfuries. The ship is versatile in construction and its design has seen many improvements over the recent years including more powerful cannons, but these improvements have failed to make the Zephyr a viable threat. It is outclassed in every aspect by Aurora and Thunderbolt class Starfuries employed by the Earth Alliance.
Veteran Comments
All TBP ships are hard to hit, but the Zephyr is harder than almost any other with its extremely, ridiculously thin front/back/side target profile. Fortunately, it is poorly armed, not too fast or manuverable, and dies easily enough if you actually manage to hit it. Get good with the EA area-affect missile and you can deal with these very quickly.
