Seeing the need for a large scale search and rescue ship, GTVA designers came up with the GTRS Hero class. Its construction is similar to that of an Orion class destroyer, but is much smaller and faster. The ship is equipped with several wings of fighters along with several specialized ships typically used in SAR operations. The Hero class is extremely well armed, and has proven very effective when deployed to a front line battle to rescue downed pilots and to serve as a rearming point. The ship also features the most advanced medical center available, which has the ability to serve up to 1000 patients simultaneously. Finally, the ship is equipped with temporary living space for 2000 people, making it an ideal mass transport ship that does not require an escort.
