Did nothing in "vanilla" Freespace 2 and doesn't even work in the SCP there is nothing to say about this weapon, I believe it was to be equivalent to the GTM TAG-A, GTM TAG-B, and GTM TAG-C type weaponry but I can't be sure, only fighter mounted beam weapon in "vanilla" Freespace 2.
