The spider-like Arachnas is one of the two known classes of Shivan installations.

Description:
Tech Room Description
Apart from static communications nodes, the Arachnas platform is the first Shivan installation we've ever seen. Heavily armed with huge beam cannons, an anti-subsystem strike is recommended before sending in warships to finish off this station.
