Altair IV is one of an undislosed number of sites which have harboured Ancient technology. Fleeing their homeworld as it was ravaged by the SD Lucifer, a group of Vasudan scientist/refugees had to make emergency landfall as their lifeboat lost power.
They found an Ancient data recorder which possessed key information relating to the Lucifer's achilles heel and subsequent destruction.
