Description:
Original WoD Tech Room Description
A refit to the Challenger class rectifying some of its design flaws, the Challenger II carries a more powerful shield generator and has its torpedo launchers replaced by broadside Phaser and a heavy turret mounted on its ventral side. These changes make the Challenger II far less vulnerable to enemy flanking maneuvers.
The reflective armor fitted on the Challenger is effective at absorbing hits from energy-based weapons, but is considerably less durable against solid projectiles.
Tech Room Description
The Challenger class is an artillery cruiser, that engages other capital ships at long ranges. It is in effect a massive flying beam cannon.
