Description:
Tech Room Description
"The Ogdoad class installation is an adapted civillian design, commonly serving as the hub for the commercial and polictical business of smaller so-called 'fringe' systems. Most of these installations were built for housing scientists and colonists during terraforming, and thus have only minimal weaponry - instead relying on thier fighters and on friendly capital ships. The main assets of the Ogdoad class is their 4 long-range sensors arrays - a precursor of the technology used in the Setekh and Charybdis classes of AWACs. This makes the Ogdaod a suitable Command and Control centre for regional forces."
