These larger variants of Vishnan bombers are deployed against larger capital ships, and appear to be equipped with significantly more powerful munitions. These craft seem to serve the role of assault bomber.

The Inquisitor has an absolutely ridiculous amount of shielding, even for a bomber, making nearly all weapons useless against it, save beams. To compare, the heaviest bomber in FreeSpace 2, the SB Seraphim, has a shield system five times weaker than this thing. More significantly, this may give the Inquisitor a slightly better rate of survivability over the Vishnan Protector in battle, which is larger and has 9000 hull, but no shields.
