The ACv Phaistos is a user-made Ancient warship. Originally created by Bobboau as his first publicly released model, was part of his Ancients ships project. It was subsequently used by the Inferno Release 1 mod, it has since been used in several unrelated mods to represent a medium warship of Ancient origin.

In the Ancient-Shivan War, the Phaistos recived minor mesh alterations and is renamed as ACv Arkalochori.

Description:

Inferno Release 1 Tech Room Description

The Phaistos corvette is an anti-fighter weapons platform that is far more nimble than its Terran, Vasudan and Shivan equivalents. It pays for this speed by having few anti-warship beam cannons, leaving that duty instead to the Malia class. Instead, it is armed with multiple pulse, beam and missile turrets for swatting aside fighter attacks.

ASW Tech Room Description (as ACv Arkalochori)

The Arkalochori corvette is among the oldest of all vessels we still use today. Its birth dates back to the our discovery of subspace, and time reflects greatly upon it. All Arkalochoris are tasked with eliminating any and all fighter or bomber craft that our foes dare to unleash upon us. As such, she is mostly armed with weapons for this task, leaving only one anti-warship cannon to assault enemy cruisers or corvettes. Of recent, numbers of the Arkalochori have been in decline and soon, none will be left of this once-highly favoured vessel. A replacement design is currently and steadily being rushed into service.
