GTSG Watchdog

The GTSG Watchdog is a Terran-designed sentry gun. It is the most basic sentry gun in its class and, by the Second Shivan Incursion, is completely outgunned by virtually every other ship in Terran and Vasudan fleets.

Description:
FS1 Tech Room Description
The Watchdog is the standard unmanned defensive sentry turret for the GTA. It fires two standard plasma bursts at any nearby hostile targets.
FS2 Tech Room Description
The GTSG Watchdog was the first generation of Terran sentry platform, the distant precursor to the Cerberus and Alastor platforms. Seriously underpowered by today's standards, the Watchdog also suffers from paper-thin armor. Many Watchdogs are Great War relics left active and in place because it wasn't worthwhile removing or deactivating them. The NTF occasionally uses stolen Watchdogs to guard supply depots or minor installations.

Veteran Comments
With only the thinnest of armor plating and armed with only two Terran Turret guns, these are just as ineffective as the Ankhs, but if used in massive quantities, can pose a real threat.
You need A LOT of these to pose trouble to your craft, but the average number of dangerous sentries of this class can be greatly lowered if there are hostile fighters and/or warships in the immediate vicinity. Sentry guns are indeed fragile, but this weakness can't be exploited if the area is full of enemy fighters - even two wings are enough. In such an environment, sentry guns become harder to kill because of their small dimensions(which become nearly insignificant unless you use heat seeking or aspect lock secondaries on them).
