GVG Anuket
| ||||||||
|
The GVG Anuket is a resource extraction vessel designed by the Vasudans. The primary role of the Anuket is to collect resource samples from volatile regions of space and to collect deuterium, which is used to power the fusion engines of all Terran and Vasudan ships. In addition, the Anuket is known to double up as a mobile laboratory on occasion.
The Anuket is an extremely fragile ship—even more fragile than its Terran counterpart, the GTG Zephyrus—with the exact same amount of defensive turrets as the Zephyrus, but with much thinner hull plating.
The discovery of the nebula prompted the Anuket's manufacturers to install the most advanced sensor technology available on all such models, allowing the Anuket to properly navigate even the most severe nebula storms.

FS2 Tech Room Description
The GVG Anuket was originally designed for resource extraction in the volatile environment of gas giants. More recently, the Anuket has been modified for nebular operations. The Anuket has the most sophisticated sensor array available, enabling it to navigate the intense EM maelstroms of supernova remnants. In the nebula, the Anuket plays two important roles. First, the miner collects samples for scientific analysis and serves as a laboratory for field experiments. Second, the Anuket gathers deuterium-rich gas for use in the fusion drives that power the allied fleet.

Name origin
In Egyptian mythology, Anuket was the goddess of the Nile River. Her name means embracer because the Nile's flooding "embraced" the fields.
