The Scarab is the workhorse of the Centauri, a heavy freighter with formidable protection. The Scarab is often chosen to carry valuable cargo through territories where Raider and pirate activity is notable. The Scarab often doubles as a passenger liner, luxurious by Earth standards but hardly adequate by Centauri standards.

The Scarab is actually more dangerous to you and your Starfury than many capital ships. It has a good number of turrets that are capable against fighters, and they are both well-posistioned and difficult to knock out. Unless faced with a situation where you MUST disable the ship intact, ignore the turrets and make quick slashing passes at the hull.
