Cerberus: Emergance was formerly a four-mission demo campaign released in early 2009. It was later shelved to due to real-life issues and being invited to join the Ancient-Shivan war. Cerberus: Emergence later become the introductory chapter of an attempted revival of the Cerberus campaign, which was revived late 2009.
Since work commenced, the revitalization has so far seen a complete re-write of the plotline and overhaul of the modification's content to bring it up to par with other Freespace 2 Open modificaitons. Emergence is planned to feature a fairly large number of missions telling the story the developing conflict from two different people. Should the chapter be released and become successful, the rest of the story will be developed and released.
As of Early May 2010, development of Cerberus has been on hiatus, due to other commitments by team members. Hopefully, it will eventually be completed and released someday.
