Media Volition Package files are complements of the FreeSpace Source Code project which contain user-made enhanced graphical and sound data.

The following files are included with the MediaVPs:

  • mv_core.vp - contains table files
  • mv_effects.vp - contains effects
  • mv_models.vp - contains high-poly versions of the retail models
  • mv_music.vp - high-fidelity music; uncompressed versions of some of the retail tracks courtesy of the FSMRP
  • mv_textures.vp - includes model textures

Go to the FreeSpace Upgrade forum and download the latest MediaVPs.
