• Actually, they are seen carrying two completely weapons. One is a sidearm that appears to be an automatic weapon of some description (not necessarily a machine gun; not all automatic weapons are machine guns), the other looks a lot like the ML-16 and seems to fire grenades. Or something. I dunno.
• That's conjectural. They could be "marines" (nominally part of the navy, or a separate branch of the armed forces like the USMC) or they actually could be part of a dedicated GTVA/GTA Army. That said, I do think this is worthy of mention, so I'll go add a note to the article.
• I'm not a Shivan, so no thanks. I'm fine...

Uh..... I mean..... the ground-based army...
There's no ground-based army in StarCraft. Just space marines. Consequently there must be no ground-based army in FreeSpace. --FlamingCobra 18:47, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
