ACT 1 MISSION 10
Description: The Mercenary Corvette Ithaca, which escaped the previous conflict just four days ago, must be captured to avoid a security threat and find out who hired them.
Background
Four days have passed since the assault on Luxor, and Morgan Technologies has sent aid to the refugee flotilla. However, no word has been heard about the corvette Ithaca, until it was confirmed that they destroyed the GTSC Berkeley in the Casa Belt, in the Altair asteroid field.
However, capturing it will be no easy feat. The only available ship, the Qualmotep, has been damaged and can only engage at long range.
Alpha wing will fly surgical strike, marking the Ithaca with TAG for the Qualmotep, sweep the fighters, and capture the Ithaca.
Walkthrough
- Available ships: Horus, Thoth, Serapis.
Use a TAG missile to lase the Ithaca for beaming by the Qualmotep, which is stealthed by a friendly AWACS. It will cause considerable damage, so just destroy the engine subsystem.
After that, deal with some Myrmidons (Red wing), then a capture team onboard the Isis-class freighter Isiroth will come in. Some hostile Perseus fighters will come in (Gold wing), stop them from doing too much damage.
Then the Ithaca will deploy two escape pods, then as they respond to what those escape pods were deployed for, the Ithaca self-destructs, killing the Isiroth too. You pick up an unknown signature. It's a Faustus, but you can't target it. It will escape, then you are told to return to base.
