Odd as it may seem, Shivan laser weapons do really poor damage to their targets, apparently Shivans depend on the quality of there ships and their vast numbers much more than they depend on their weapons. The Shivan Heavy Laser is the fastest the, the most efficent and does about the same damage as the Prometheus R
